Army Apprehends Hardcore NDFB Terrorist In Chirang Along With A LinkMan

Guwahati, 29 Janurary 2016

In a joint operation of Army & Police on 28 Jan 2016, a NDFB(S) Cadre and a linkman has been apprehended along with arms and ammunition from Chirang District.  The apprehended cadre has been identified as Gangaraj Wary @ Dableu Gold, a Myanmar trained Cadre from 40th Batch of NDFB(S) who was wanted in killing of two Adivasis and burning down of 60 houses on 24 Dec 2014 at Koirabari.  The apprehended linkman has been identified as Kalicharan Brahmo, both belonging to Chirang District.   

Spot interrogation and search led to recovery of one 7.62mm Pistol with 02 rounds, One .305 Rifle with 25 rounds, 14 rounds of .315 Rifle, One Chinese Hand Grenade and other war like stores.

It may be recalled, that since the launch of “Op All Out” in January 2015 the terrorist operating in the area have more or less been dedicated and the remenents are in a total state of disarray, knowing fully well that there day’s are numbered, due to the relentless pressure exerted on them by the Security Forces.
