is the commissioning Commanding Officer of INS Kadmatt

The commissioning ceremony of Anti Submarine Warfare corvette INS Kadmatt , second of the  Project 28 ships built indigenously by M/s Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd Kolkata commenced at 1000 hrs on 07 January 2016.

These ships are very crucial for ensuring that there is no threat posed by submarines in your areas of interest closer to your harbours, vital installations, oil rigs & sea lanes of communications (SLOCs) etc.

A true example of indigenisation, they were designed (by Naval designers DGND)  and constructed in- house in India ( GRSE).

From Buyer's Navy to Builder's Navy, commissioning of

INS Kidmatt is a great achievement. This transforms Indian Navy to self- reliance.
