AIR CHIEF VISITS NCC REPUBLIC DAY CAMP


Air Chief Marshal PV Naik PVSM, VSM, ADC, Chief of the Air Staff visited the NCC Republic Day Camp-2010 in Delhi Cantonment today on 12 Jan 10.
On the arrival of Air Chief at the Camp a guard of honour was presented by a contingent of smartly turned out NCC cadets drawn from all the three wings namely Army, Navy and Air Force.


Air Chief Marshal Naik also visited the Motivation Hall, the Flag Area, the Ship and Air Modelling Rooms and interacted.
The Cadets of NCC also presented a cultural programme in the honour of the Chief of Air Staff.

He had all the praises for the excellent work being done by the NCC in grooming the future leaders of our country. He said “With NCC in the helms of affairs in grooming the youth, the future of our country is in the safe hands”.
Lt Gen RK Karwal AVSM, SM**, VSM Director General NCC, while giving an overview of NCC activities thanked the Chief of Air Staff for his visit to the camp.
It is pertinent to mention that total 1950 Cadets, both boys and girls drawn from 17 NCC Directorates covering all the States and Union Territories of the Country and officers and cadets from friendly foreign countries are participating in this RD Camp.
The cadets will take part in a number of activities like Cultural, National Integration Awareness and Institutional Training Competitions and will also walk on Rajpath on 26 Jan 2010. The camp will culminate in the Prime Minister’s Rally to be held at Garrison Parade Ground at Delhi Cantt on 28 Jan 2010.
